Zelda Design is a full-service residential design studio specializing in historic rehabilitation and eclectic interiors. Alessandra Lopez is the principal designer of Zelda Design Co. Her work is driven by the need to protect and honor historic architecture while integrating contemporary design and creating one-of-a-kind interiors that spark joy within all who inhabit them.
Before entering the world of historic preservation and interior design, Alessandra worked in luxury real estate development where she acted as project manager on dozens of multi-million dollar developments in the Los Angeles market. Her no-nonsense attitude when it comes to getting things done has given her the ability to streamline processes on major design projects. While she loved the excitement of seeing projects being built from the ground up, watching the destruction of beautiful historic buildings with craftsmanship that could never be replaced was too much to bear. She took matters into her own hands and is now dedicated to preservation and design.
On the contrary, she is also an artist at heart. Professionally trained in traditional darkroom photography processes, her work has been featured in local art shows, museums, and publications, and private galleries across California. With an emphasis in documentary storytelling, she has the natural skill of looking at situations as a whole and finding the magic within the details.
