Some people see rooms.
We see the world beneath them.
Interior design for clients with an appetite for beauty and the need for expression
Zelda was built on a lifelong sensitivity to the way environment shapes us and the belief that space is never passive.
Some clients arrive with a folder full of references.
Others come to us with nothing but fragments collected from a life well-lived.
Whether it be bringing a 20th-century Spanish residence back to life or showcasing a simple collection of photographs that have been passed down through the generations, our work is to read what already exists within you and alchemize it into a place you adore.
That is where Zelda begins.
From first concept to final installation, we guide a limited number of custom homes, historic rehabilitation projects, and eclectic interiors with exacting taste, technical fluency, and first-class care.
The home does not simply reflect your taste; it reveals the spectacular nature of it.
Meet the Founder
Alessandra Lopez is an interior designer, historic preservation advocate, and artist whose work is driven by the desire to keep history alive through preservation, to build new homes with wisdom from the past, and to use decor as a form of self expression and communication.
Before entering the world of design, Alessandra worked in real estate development, serving as project manager on dozens of multi-million-dollar projects throughout Los Angeles. Her no-nonsense approach and ability to streamline complex processes continue to shape her work today, allowing her to manage major design projects with clarity and efficiency.
An artist at heart, Alessandra is professionally trained in traditional darkroom photography processes. Her work has been featured in local art shows, museums, and publications, and in private galleries across California. With an emphasis on documentary storytelling, she has the natural skill of looking at situations from afar and finding the magic within the details.
She is an active member within her communities and currently serves on the Arts, Culture, and Historic Preservation Commission for the City of Azusa, sits on the Education Committee for Pasadena Heritage, and is a Leadership Boot Camp alumna with the LA Conservancy.
The environments we inhabit have a direct influence on our awareness, perception, and sense of self.
We curate each home to embody our client’s tastes and style in ways that periods, personalities, and materials engage in conversation. Our interiors share a signature of eclecticism, playfulness, quality goods, and a bit of charm.
xoxo, Zelda
